Enjoy the all-you-can-eat Crab Feast while you bid on items ranging from art work to restaurant gift cards to sports memorabilia.

The new buoy room location for this year's crab feast and auction

Buy raffle tickets and stuff the bag in front of the item that catches your eye. A winning ticket is drawn at the end of the night from each bag.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the 2026 Convention and Awards Banquet of the Chesapeake AP Broadcasters Association!
We are extremely excited about the annual auction to benefit the Bob Shilling Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship, awarded each year to a deserving journalism or communications student, is named after Shilling, who died in 2016. He was a 42-year member of our board, and a veteran broadcaster who was passionate about the scholarship he chaired for many years.
This year’s silent auction will be held on Friday, May 29, during the all-you-can-eat Crab Feast at Hooper’s Crab House' s Buoy Room in Ocean City, Md. Buy raffle tickets and “stuff the bag” in front of the item that catches your eye. A winning ticket is drawn at the end of the night from each bag.
Premium items donated by your station or company will be carried over to live bidding and a raffle pull during the Awards Show on Saturday night, May 30, at the Princess Royale Oceanfront Resort in Ocean City.
So please scour your station’s closets for SWAG you can contribute to this worthy cause. Check with your business partners and promotion staff for items to help us fund a student and future broadcaster’s education. It's good PR for your station and it benefits a great cause. We are especially interested in items and gift cards we can transfer electronically. Trips, vacation home stays, spa days, balloon rides, concert tickets, sporting events, electronics, museum passes, restaurant gift and gas cards are just a few ideas.
Please contact Carolyn Presutti or Mike Jakaitis about any donations (mediacarolyn@gmail.com or mike.jakaitis@wtop.com). Items may be sent to the following address:
